Data controller

The controller is the operator of the VELMYNOR magazine. For any privacy request write to velmynor1@gmail.com.

Data we process

Browsing data: IP address, browser type, requested pages and time, recorded automatically by hosting systems to run the site, protect it from abuse and limit excessive requests (for example to automatic translations).

Data you send us: name, email, company if any and message text when you use the contact form or email us.

Preferences: chosen language and your analytics-cookie decision, stored in your browser.

Visit statistics: only if you accept, Google Analytics collects usage data (pages viewed, device, approximate area) through a random identifier in cookies. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

We do not collect health or special-category data: health and aesthetic-medicine articles are general information and require no data about you.

Purposes and legal bases

Running and protecting the site: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Answering requests, collaboration proposals and reports: steps at your request and consent given in the form (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(a)).

Aggregate visit statistics with Google Analytics: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 Italian Privacy Code), withdrawable at any time.

Legal obligations and defence of legal claims: Art. 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f).

Measuring visits from Pinterest with the Pinterest Tag: your separate consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 Italian Privacy Code), given only with “Accept all” and withdrawable at any time. We make no automated decisions about you and do not sell your data.

How long

Contact requests: up to 24 months after the last exchange, unless legal obligations or disputes require longer.

Hosting browsing data: for the technical period set by providers, usually days or weeks.

Cookie choice: 6 months, then we ask again; earlier only if this notice changes materially.

Google Analytics data: at most 14 months, according to the account retention settings.

Who receives the data

Data is processed by people authorised by the controller and by technical providers acting as processors: the site's hosting and database platform (Lovable and its sub-processors, including Cloudflare and Supabase) and, only with your consent, Google Ireland Ltd for Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.

The automatic translation service receives only article text, never reader data.

Look4Hair, the shop under the same ownership mentioned in some articles, receives no data from the site: links contain only UTM parameters showing they come from the magazine, with no personal data.

Transfers outside the EU

Some providers (for example Google, Cloudflare and Supabase) may process data in the United States or other countries. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision for certified providers or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Pinterest Tag (marketing)

Only if you choose “Accept all” does the site load the Pinterest Tag of Pinterest Europe Ltd. (Dublin, Ireland). The tag records the pages you visit, technical browser data and an identifier in cookies to measure visits coming from Pinterest and the effectiveness of any campaigns; Pinterest may link this information to your Pinterest account, if you have one.

We do not send Pinterest your email, name or other contact data, not even in hashed form.

For collecting and transmitting data through the tag, VELMYNOR and Pinterest may act as joint controllers; for further processing Pinterest is an independent controller under its own policy (policy.pinterest.com/en/privacy-policy) and may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Pinterest cookies last up to 1 year.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter we process your email, language, chosen interests, date and proof of consent. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), confirmed in two steps through the link we email you.

Sign-ups and sending are handled by Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC, an Intuit company) as processor. Data may be processed in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Mailchimp may measure email opens and clicks for aggregate statistics.

We keep the data while you are subscribed. You can unsubscribe with the link in every email and request full deletion at velmynor1@gmail.com.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR), by writing to velmynor1@gmail.com. We reply within one month.

You can withdraw analytics and Pinterest consent with one click at the bottom of this page, with no effect on browsing.

You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or your local authority.

Newsletter

Double opt-in: we send you an email right away and you receive the newsletter only after clicking the link. You can unsubscribe from every email.

Sign-ups and sending are handled by Mailchimp (Intuit) on behalf of VELMYNOR: your email, language and chosen interests. No sharing with third parties for their marketing, no partner offers. We keep the data while you are subscribed; unsubscribing stops the newsletter and you can request deletion at velmynor1@gmail.com.
